Randy Pausch (October 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008): Last lecture
Randy Pausch was an American professor of computer science, he died a few days ago of pancreatic cancer. He delivered a superb lecture, one that has achieved worldwide fame, on Achieving Your Childhood Dreams. Its a must watch for everyone. See it here.

aaah... i just finished waching the whole thing.. three things in it stood out to me -
1) about how no one new his dad received a bronze star for valour
2) the example to illustrate the importance of focusing on others and not yourself
3) how he ends it, asking if the audience figured out the second 'head fake'
amazing!!! abolutely amazing! :)

I'm usually a bit skeptical about these 'motivational' talks and I only opened it because it came from an an uncommon source (someone who does'nt usually send pure junk). When I saw the length of the thing (1 hour 16 min - I'd misread it as being 16 minutes only) I almost stopped loading it. Then I decided to play the bit that had loaded just to check it and was hooked.
